Man uses four common kitchen items in simple recipe to get rid of pesky gnats
Sometimes all that's keeping us from a stroke of brilliance is a simple observation. Thankfully that's not the case for this homesteader.

Just about everyone has come across gnats in their lifetime and, when they do, you can bet each experience was just as unpleasant as the last.

Lucky for us, YouTuber Robb’s Homemade Life found a solution that will help you get rid of those pesky gnats, once and for all.

This is something everyone should know.

It’s no secret insects are annoying.

This is especially true of gnats, which is exactly why this hack can change your life for the better.

We all remember the skit famous actor/comedian Kevin Hart did about gnats, only it’s not as funny in real life.

Robb’s Homemade Life is no stranger when it comes to getting rid of everything from roaches to mosquitos, but this is his very first video about getting rid of the nuisances we know as gnats.

And it’s about time.

Most people use funnel traps for gnats, but Robb found that they weren’t effective.

All over the internet, you’ll find DIY videos and blogs about using funnel traps for gnats, but Robb proves once and for all that they don’t work.

Robb got rid of the funnels.

Instead, he used open containers and big plastic lids.

Ready to get rid of your gnats and make your own traps?

This is what you’ll need:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 drops of dish soap
  • Plastic container or some type of lid

Let’s make the container traps.

You’re almost there, you just need to cut the top of the plastic container and mix your water, Apple Cider Vinegar, sugar, and dish soap inside it.

You can leave the top of the container open, and watch the gnats disappear.

As if that isn’t a good enough trick, there’s an even easier hack that Robb found just as effective.

The best part is, either way, you’ll be rid of those tiny little terrorizers.

Just use a lid.

If you want to go the easy but effective route, just take a big plastic lid off of something in your house and mix the solution in it.

It may not look as pretty, but it still gets the job done.

If you thought Robb was done with the hacks, guess again.

Grab a box fan and tulle.

Turns out, you can also use a box fan and some tulle netting fabric to get rid of gnats

To do this hack, all you have to do is tape the tulle netting over the front of the fan and watch the gnats get stuck.

If you have a bad enough gnat problem, you can even use all three of these brilliant hacks.
