One of the recent hacks trending online through TikTok is the use of Irish Spring.
We know this soap for its lavish smell and affordable price.
However, in recent weeks, people have been claiming that this soap can do so much more. So, before you go stocking up, check out the different uses of Irish spring original.
Here’s what you need:
Spray bottle
Recycled Parmesan bottles
Grater that you are no longer using for food
Bowl
Water
Vinegar (optional)
Irish Spring (Original)
First, get your bowl and grade as much Irish Spring soap as you can. Once you have your grated soap, you can use it for:
Extra bug protection from your window sill
Use your grated Irish Spring and sprinkle it across your window sill. Close it and that’s it. It’s that easy.
When it rains, you don’t have to worry because it will basically clean your window sill.
Repel Garbage can bugs
A garbage can is one of the favorite spots of flies. Right after putting a new trash bag, sprinkle some grated Irish spring at the bottom.
This will keep the flies away and will minimize the odor. This works so well because even if your soap is at the bottom, you’ll notice fewer flies hovering your trash can.
DIY bug repellant for your garden and lawn
Do you have vole problems in your garden? Help your grass grow back by sprinkling some grated Irish Spring on the area where you need protection from animals who constantly nibble on your grass.
If you have a flower garden, you can do the same here as well. To avoid animals from eating the flowers, surround your plant with grated Irish Spring.
You can also put some grated soap on a spray bottle, then add some water and a little bit of vinegar if you like. This will work as a bug repellant and you can spray leaves or bushes outside. You can also use it on yourself when you’re tending to your garden.

Mosquito repellant
Get a mason jar or an old Parmesan container that you can recycle. Put a bar of Irish Spring inside and close the lid.
You can take this anywhere you go. Open the lid when you’re reading in the garden or patio and close it when you’re done. This preserves the soap and helps you repel bugs so you can enjoy the outdoors.
Doorway bug protection
