Cera and Oliver were sick of working insane hours just to be able to afford their lifestyle.

Instead of enjoying sports or spending time in nature, they just worked to pay the bills.

They had to stop and ask themselves: “Do I own my house? Or does my house own me?”

So, they decided to downsize from the large home they currently owned.

They also were determined to build their own tiny house on wheels.

And the results were an incredibly charming house inspired by their original heritage home in Armstrong, British Columbia.

The two houses are the same in shape, color, and were even built using the same materials.

It’s basically a smaller version of their original home but on wheels.

Since Oliver had a background in construction and Cera loves design, they figured they could pull it off.

They did such a good job that they started their own tiny house building company called Summit Tiny Homes.

The entire home is 24 feet in length, 8.5 foot wide, by 13.6 in height for a total of 225 sq.ft.

Oliver and Cera decided to go with a dormer roof to give their tiny home the feel of a traditional home with character.

This also allowed them to bring up the ceiling height in the loft.

This type of roof also helps to keep the snow off of the house in the winter.

Their home is also completely off of the grid but can be plugged in when needed.

It’s topped with three solar panels on the roof and one on the ground.

The home is also heated with some propane tanks and has freshwater tanks for clean water storage.

This tiny home is also completely mobile so they can travel with their home and live anywhere.

When you enter the house you’ll find it’s filled with natural light from all of the windows, including skylights.

Windows were one of the big items that Cera wanted to make sure the house was filled with. There are 15 in total.

Cera and Oliver felt that windows were more important than storage space.

To the rear of the home is a full-sized couch surrounded by bay windows.

There’s also a good-sized TV That swivels out from the wall and a tiny desk adjacent to the couch that has a cubby to store a laptop, keeping it out of sight.

Then there is a galley kitchen that has gorgeous quartz countertops, a 24-inch full-sized farm sink, cabinetry, a stove/oven with range, shelving, and a full-sized fridge.

The entire space uses light colors like white, light blue, and natural wood to make space feel bigger and brighter.

Underneath the steps leading to the loft are a washer/dryer, as well as a tiny dog kennel and some drawer and storage space.

In the back, there are closets on either side of the wall before you enter the bathroom.

The bathroom has a tiny clawfoot tub that’s also used as a shower.

The bathroom also houses a good-sized sink, and vanity, as well as a composting toilet and linen storage.

The sleeping loft houses a massive bed that sits under big skylight windows with solar shades that block out the sun when they are pulled down.

There’s also more windows on the side of each bed that let in both air and light.

There’s light’s by each side of the bed and an air conditioning unit in the corner for when it gets hot up there.
