It has been a trend over the last couple of years for people to downsize, and tiny home building and living are getting more and more popular as life seems to be getting all the more unpredictable.

That’s why a middle-aged couple who met each other and got married later in life decided to leave their city apartment and go for tiny living in the woods.

Well, it may not be in the middle of a forest, but the community they decided to park their tiny houses is surrounded by trees and it really is naturescaping at its best.

Elisa and Ryk have been living in their tiny homes for a little more than a year, and, although at first they lived together in one tiny house, fourth months later they had completed the “house of their dreams”.

That house practically consists of two tiny homes, with an outdoor path connecting them, and with a common patio and deck that lets the couple share beautiful moments in nature.

As Elisa explained, since they met later in life, each of them had their own taste, different interests, and lots of stuff to carry with them! So this made two tiny homes a better choice than just one.

“[Couples who usually go tiny] are very young, and that’s great because when you first start off in life, you don’t have a lot of things. Well, we have! I have art, he has art, there were a lot of things that we had to give up, but probably the bulk of it was much more than somebody younger,” Elisa told “Tiny House Expedition“.

So, how do these two tinys look like on the inside?

Well, Elisa’s tiny home is smaller, and it has a beautiful deck, while Ryk’s is somewhat larger with a nice patio.

Elisa calls hers the Little Starry Blue and, guess what, it is actually a blue home on the outside.

On the inside, it features an open-concept kitchen, office, and living room. There’s enough room for a couch, a small but practical office, and a big kitchen. In fact, this kitchen is bigger than others she had in city apartments.

There’s also a loft, where Elisa can spend some alone time meditating, doing some artwork, or just hanging out.

Her bathroom is small but cute, and she’s even found a place for all her essential oils that are necessary for her job.

The bedroom is nice and the couple explains that they sleep there, while in Ryk’s bedroom they spend their movie evenings since it features a large TV.

Ryk’s man cave is beautiful, as well.

The kitchen is minimal, and going for black splash is really giving the room an elegant touch.

There are rocks everywhere because he is a stone person, so this shows around the house.

He has a good-sized bathroom, an office, and a bedroom, of which he has made sure to use every inch, either for living space or for storage.

Elisa and Ryk couldn’t be happier with their choice, since it also saves them money. Win-win situation, right?
