When it comes to beautifying our lawn or garden, the first thing that comes to our minds would be “How much will it cost me?”

Adding cobblestone to your patio already seems to be expensive, and if you are not too confident that you have the budget you think you need, then the project would probably be out of your mind real soon.

But, a rustic cobblestone-inspired patio or walkway is not as expensive as you might think.

In a video uploaded on YouTube by Hometalk, a do-it-yourself way to achieve a cobblestone garden feature with glow-in-the-dark stones is shared with step-by-step guidelines on how to do it. And it is quite simple!

All you need is concrete and plastic baggies.

But first, you need to clean the area where you want to add the cobblestones. Scrape all grass to make sure it is as clean as possible and to achieve the look you want. This will also help in leveling the ground.

Next up, the high-strength concrete should be ready. in order not to mess it all up, take a strong rod, put it below the bag of concrete right around the middle part, and cut the bag in half.

Pull up the rod on both ends to bring the bag up, and cleanly cut it in half. Quite simple, right?

Mix the water with concrete until you reach the consistency you need.

Pour the concrete into your bucket and add water. You need to add water until the consistency indicated in the guide is achieved, which is a bit soupier than the usual concrete mix.

Once the consistency is met, then it is time to grab your Ziploc bags.

Pour the mixture carefully into each bag. At this point, you must know already how many bags will fill the area you chose based on the bags’ sizes.

After completing the bags, go to your project area and start putting the bags on the ground.

Arrange the bags next to each other and make sure to tap them to ensure that the bags are at level with each other. Make them nice and flat and place them in a neat and organized pattern.

Leave them to dry, but remember to check on them when they are about half-dry because this is where the magic happens.

While the concrete inside the bag is almost dry, open them and add the pebbles that will glow in the dark. Arrange them in a pattern that you love and be creative!

Now, the next part is being patient enough to wait for your finished product to be completely dry.

Once all the Ziploc bags are removed, the DIY cobblestones are now dry. But there is one more step to do. Add some dirt to fill the gaps between the stones and voila! The cobblestone patio or walkway is now ready.

Wait for nighttime to see the beautiful project you just completed.

In the evening, watch how your patio or pathway glows in the dark because of the incredibly creative pebbles you added. Just wow!
