A lot of us try and avoid public restrooms whenever possible. But as we all know – sometimes there’s just no getting around it.
While public bathrooms aren’t typically filled with laughter, some establishments have discovered ways to bring a little amusement to theirs. It’s all through their signs!
These 11 businesses ditched the traditional man/woman stick figures, and instead selected some pretty hilarious and clever replacements. Get ready to laugh yourself all the way to the potty room.
1. Pointers and Setters
No, this isn’t a bathroom for dogs. Think about it for a second. Who squats and who stands when they go to the bathroom?
2. Mr. and Ms. “P”
These are the bathroom signs that were at The Pinball Wizard Arcade. A Pac-Man for the men’s bathroom. A Ms. Pac-Man for the women’s bathroom. You don’t have to be a videogame buff to love the cleverness!
3. Storm clouds that say it all
If the labels didn’t tip you off, you can tell which bathroom is which by the water stream. One cloud is raining straight down. The other spouts off to the side.
4. Nuts or no nuts
Do you have nuts? Or no nuts? Choose your bathroom accordingly.
5. A bathroom for everyone
When you gotta go, you gotta go. This bathroom sign seems to imply that everyone is welcome. It also seems like a very fun place to hang out going by the joyful figures.
6. Subtle signs
These signs are really subtle. Like, you might pee your pants before you figure it out. Lol, or have an accident from laughing too much.
7. A donut shop with a sense of humor
This pastry business has some cute and funny bathroom signs. The girls head into the round donut restroom, while the boys get the Long John. But in case a customer can’t figure it out, they added the classic figures on the side.
8. Holsters and pistols
These are the bathroom signs at a pizza restaurant in Montana that likely has a western theme. Pistols go in holsters… comprendo?
9. A huge step up from stick figures
This business has life-size drawings on their restroom doors. It’s not hard to figure out who is the man and who is the woman. These are slightly creepy though.
10. Real women
Women don’t just come in one size, unlike most traditional bathroom signs. They come in all different sizes. This is reflected in this cool bathroom entrance. Surely the guy’s restroom was decorated in a similar fashion.
11. Bla, bla, bla
Ok, we women are known to be “chatters” and for including lots of details in our stories. Men – not so much. These doors perfectly sum that up.
