It’s always entertaining to watch shows about houses. It allows us to appreciate different home designs and concepts, as well as giving us an idea of what type of house we want for ourselves.

While some people dream of having big and extravagant houses, some people prefer to live in a tiny house. It’s one of the latest trends in home designs today, and you would be surprised to know how many people would trade in their condos, apartments, or big houses just to be able to move into a tiny house.

Last 2018, The Willow Tree was featured in Tiny House Listings, where she shared the story behind her decision to move into their tiny home, and as a bonus, she even gave a tour of her tiny but lovely home.

“I decided to go tiny because somebody told me that I have to triple my income to get a regular mortgage. I’m a single mom by myself so that just wasn’t feasible and so I was determined and this was just an alternative route that I discovered and it has been my dream,” Stephanie shares the reason why she decided to move in a tiny home.

At first, this was the reason and the most practical solution for her, but she didn’t expect that she’d fall in love with the results.

She made sure that she planned her dream house well because she has a small daughter, so safety plays a crucial role in choosing the design for her tiny home.

She starts the tour as she shows the audience her very spacious kitchen. According to her, this kitchen is big enough to accommodate visitors. She also has a small-sized oven and an apartment-sized refrigerator.

What’s admirable is the fact that they have an amazing view outside of their kitchen. Stephanie and her daughter can also move freely and bond while eating or cooking.

She then moves to her bathroom, which is surprisingly very spacious for such a tiny home. She wanted a place where they can spend time together.

Her miniature bathtub is another one of our favorites!

She then shows the master loft, which is where she sleeps. She points out that even though she can’t stand up in this tiny space, she can still move around pretty comfortably.

She also shares how she and Elliot can move freely going back and forth the two lofts with no problem. She then shows that each loft has two skylights, which gives them amazing light, view, and a way for her to stargaze – pretty awesome, right?

She then crawls to the other loft, where Elliot sleeps. She also shows how much space Elliot has and why she chose this design for their home.

Many people commented on how it was a bit tough to move around for her and that soon, her daughter will grow bigger and taller, and her design might not be the best for them.

Stephanie also shares how she loves the outdoors and that she wanted her hammock to fit in her tiny house. She then proceeds to show the audience how she sets it up and how she can get in.

This shocked a lot of people, and most comments were about how hard it was to get inside that hammock – what do you think?

It’s amazing how much you can do with so little space, and the best part here is that you can decide how you will create your dream home. It doesn’t need to cost a lot or be that spacious, it just has to be the perfect size for your family.
