This super narrow house is only 8 feet wide but inside it contains a maze of rooms
It's hard to believe the house is only 8 feet wide! I never would have imagined the inside would look like this.

Seeing this ultra-narrow house might feel claustrophobic but wait until you see what’s inside!

The house used to be a one-story structure built in 1880.

The foundation of the house is very old, yet it survived centuries.

The basement and first floors are only 6 feet and 6 inches wide, while the upper floors are only 7 feet and 3 inches.

But once you see what’s inside, you’ll never think it is that narrow.

When you go inside, you’ll see a room filled with a lot of character.

Jessica Latimer wanted to keep vintage materials and refurbish them or even keep them as it is.

You’ll see some theater seats and shelves where you can hang your outdoor clothing.

There is also a small bathroom where you can clean yourself before entering the house.

At the other end is the kitchen, and it’s bigger than you would expect!

You’d be surprised to see a full kitchen, although most of the appliances are much smaller (or narrower) because she had to choose the ones that would fit through the door.

The kitchen leads to the backyard with a patio table and a grill.

Up the middle of the house is the winding stairwell that gives access to all the rooms.

However, it is more than just a staircase.

The steps go around a vertical compartment where all the plumbing, heating, and wiring mostly go through to its central control unit.

You’ll find a washing machine, a closet, and much more on the upper levels.

It was also built with glass panels that let the light pass through the entire house.

You’ll find the library and the living room on the second floor.

Jessica said that the library somehow functions as a dining area since she prefers to eat there than at the little table by the kitchen.

This is why you’ll see a tiny sink by it.

The room is filled with books, while the living room has a good-sized couch.

There are also extra futons that functions as a seat and as a bed.

Upstairs is where you’ll find the bath and bedroom.

This is the second bathroom in the house, which is bigger than the first one, and it has a bathtub and a toilet that can be opened and closed through a sliding door.

On the other side is her bedroom, which has ample space for a queen-sized bed. Since she has no room for side tables, she opted to use peg-type bulletin boards instead.

The biggest surprise in this house is that it has an attic and a basement.

The attic serves as Jessica’s home office.

It gives her a sense of privacy and away from all the noise outside.

It also doubles as her place for exercise and an extension of her closet.

The basement is also divided into two parts, like most of the house.

One side is the storage, like most of our house’s basement is for.

The other side is her third and the biggest bathroom in the house.

This one has a shower in it and a full sink.

The white design gives the impression that the room is bigger than it is.
