Being creative means you need inspiration all the time.

Inspirations that you can get not only from your workplace but also from your home.

With this in mind, Denise Baron decided to rent a tiny home in Oakland.

And this is the best decision she ever made according to her interview with Tiny House Giant Journey.

Big dreams in small spaces

Denise said it saves her a lot of energy and money.

Money, because this home is low maintenance and rent is low, too, unlike with big apartments in the city.

This tiny home saves her energy.

Because she does not need to clean a big house and it allows her to prioritize her time being creative rather than spending time cleaning or reorganizing things.

Who is Denise Bayron?

What you will love about this home is the natural light pouring in.

First stop- the garden.

The original space of this tiny home was the garage.

But since the owner is an architect, he converted it into a home.

The outdoor furniture came from Canada. This is acacia wood that’s perfect for rainy weather as well.

There is also a fireplace that her friends love to hang around.

Time to see inside.

Denise filled the space with plants.

So it’s a good thing that there’s a glass roof.

According to Denise, this is the main reason she loves the house, because of the natural light coming in from this roof.

One thing to highlight is the window panels inside.

The kitchen is small yet functional.

Perfect for her lifestyle.

When you enter the house, you’ll see the bed in the inner corner of the home.

Of course, let’s go to her working table.

She has a window where she works most of the time.

According to her, this is where she spends time creatively.

This window and the scenery outside help her every single time she needs inspiration.

But there is also a place for her to create or sew clothes using her portable sewing machines.

A multi-use space

Like any other tiny home, this working space became her dining table, too.

Denise shared that this tiny home is really a good start for her to practice two things.

To be intentional and creative.

Intentional is what she loves to do every day.

She wants to be intentional in what kind of lifestyle she wants — sustainable and practical which this tiny home provides for her.
