Sharon is one cool lady. The retired pharmacist has decided she needs her freedom, so instead of spending her days cooped up in her home like some people her age, she decided to live the nomad life.

In order to make it happen, Sharon purchased an iconic TAB teardrop trailer which she tows behind her Jeep Wrangler.

It allows her to travel and stay wherever she wants, seeing beautiful places all over the country while enjoying her new life.

She gave Bob Wells of CheapRVliving a guided tour of her purchase while giving insights about her lifestyle, and we found it fascinating.

She’s been living this way for a year and a half and says, “I absolutely love it.”

And this isn’t Sharon’s first travel vehicle – she’s had 4 other larger RVs, but she just prefers the little guy. It took a few weeks of adjusting but since she’s not that tall, she was able to adapt to her little trailer quite easily.

Despite the small size, she hasn’t given up the comforts of home.

The trailer comes with a wet bath and toilet, which she can use standing.

What about power? Sharon’s setup can generate 135 watts of solar power using a portable unit that it folds up into a case, making it easier to stow away.

She likes cooking outside even though her trailer has a 2 burner stove. It keeps the odors and indoor air pollution down, plus with the small space, a little fresh air while cooking helps clear the mind.

Sharon’s trailer comes with a massive visor.

The little TAB has a lot of windows, good for lighting and fresh air, but takes in a lot of sunlight. Comes with the territory.

For colder nights, the trailer comes with a radiator and Sharon also has a propane heater which heats up in 2-3 minutes. And she has a small air conditioner and screens on the windows for when she visits warm areas.

As Sharon showed Bob the inside, the first thing that surprised him was the small but complete kitchen. There’s even a fridge for her perishables.

It’s amazing what you can do when you get creative with space!

Of course, everyone tends to be the most curious about how to stay clean.

Well, there’s a small shower, but Sharon proves to Bob that she fits in it just fine and she’s short enough to stand up for a shower. But it is pretty…cozy.

When it comes to kicking back, Sharon has that covered too. There’s an entertainment system wedged in between the shower door and kitchen cupboards where can play CDs and DVDs too.

The bed is just enough space along with a fan overhead to keep air circulating. And when she needs a place to sit but not sleep, it converts back into a couch.

There’s even room for a small table for her to eat on or use as a desk for her computer.

Bob, being the man that he is, goes back to the Jeep asking about its engine and pulling power, plus the gas mileage. Sharon admits that Jeeps aren’t really known to be fuel-efficient vehicles, but hers gets about 13-17 MPG when towing, and around 19-21 MPG by itself.

Not bad for a heavy 6 cylinder SUV.

She goes on to share that though she’s retired, she doesn’t really have a lot of savings.

Sharon lives on her social security and what little earnings she has.

She is as she says, “A true gypsy at heart.”

She’s lived in many different homes where she didn’t even know her own neighbors. And yet out on the road, she’s met lots of people with whom she’s had dinners and has kept in touch.

“Forget a big, fancy RV. This is absolutely perfect! Just enough space to get all the essentials inside. I am so in love with this setup,” a commenter said.
