We all make mistakes. Sometimes, we overlook certain details, accidentally add more to our carts than we should, or have misunderstood some details when availing of services.

It’s all normal to experience these things.

Now, either get stressed out and be angry or just laugh at the situation.

What Kylie and her brother, Aidan Keefe, experienced last August 8 may get many people angry and it could even cause a fight, but because these two laughed about the situation, the outcome became entirely different.

Instead of being irate and ruining their day, they laughed about the situation and posted the hilarious encounter on TikTok.

Their clip garnered 32.4M views.

When Kylie and Aidan pulled up to the house, their father rented for their family trip to the Adirondacks, they burst into laughter.

They were in shock to see a tiny house.

Their dad accidentally rented a home that was far from what they were expecting. It wasn’t your traditional cozy home; it was a really tiny house.

It measures 144 square feet, which includes a 96-square-foot loft.

Kylie shared in her interview with Insider that can’t possibly accommodate her, her brother, father, stepmom, and their two lovely Labradoodles

The family of four was traveling from their hometown, Massachusetts to St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York.

They were there to drop Aidan off at college, so they wanted to spend a little more time bonding before the young man gets settled.

JJ, Kylie, and Aidan’s father wanted to book hotel rooms, but Best Western, at that time, was fully booked, so he searched for another option and found a listing at Vrbo.

There, he saw a tiny home that had “a queen bed in the loft” and can accommodate up to 4 people because of the 2 sleeper chairs downstairs.”

He immediately booked the said home for $140 for two nights.

It was a catch indeed, and to their surprise, there was no way they can all fit in the tiny house.

Courtney Chichester, the owner of the Vrbo home, clarified in an interview with Insider that when the family booked the tiny home, they failed to mention that there were two kids and dogs that would also be staying.

In their own TikTok video, they showed the booking information to clarify the incident.

Kylie replied and said that they were not laughing about the tiny home and that they had a good laugh because of her father’s mistake.

However, Chichester seemed to disagree as she told Insider that while they were laughing about the situation, their video gave their business a negative impact.

On the other hand, Kylie received unexpected comments from Arby’s, Hilton, and even Airbnb.

Hilton awarded them with a room for the weekend, Airbnb gave them a $500 credit on their next booking, and Arby’s asked Kylie to message them since she hasn’t tried their food yet.

How exceptional is that?

Of course, people wanted to see a tiny home tour, and Kylie’s stepmom was more than happy to accommodate everyone’s request.

Even their dad commented it was “him” who made the error and had given us a little song about it, too.

At that moment, the original choice, Best Western, ended up with a vacant room after all. So Kylie and Aidan stayed there.

Their dad and stepmom, along with the two dogs stayed in the tiny house.
