I've seen a lot of home tours before but this one takes the cake. I can't get over the beautiful wood interior. Ezio Cusi is a genius.

There you’ll see the Eagleyew house.

It is the home of Ezio Cusi, the talented and passionate designer of the Eaglenest Sanctuary.

In the YouTube video uploaded by Mat & Danielle of Exploring Alternatives, Ezio tours us into his majestic home.

What sets the Eagleyew house apart is that they made it from 100% natural materials.

They made the walls of the house from straw and clay, so don’t be surprised if seeing the timber structure of the home will leave you speechless.

The wood came from the forest.

There is also a living roof on both sides of the house. The interior has earthen floors and natural plasters.

You will also notice the three heat sources of Ezio’s home, including passive solar design, masonry stove, and annualized geo solar system or what he calls AGS.

No amenity left out.

There are also three solar hot water panels in the room, a well for fresh water, and a septic system for waste.

They also connected the Eagleyew to the grid for electricity.

Ezio, proudly explained that he aimed to build a house that could last for 300 years or more.

It’s called the Eagleyew because most of the wood used was from the Yew tree.

This tree is rare, dense, and beautiful.

You can clearly see how stunning the interior of his house is.

His kitchen is spacious.

Complete with a big sink, working area, and pantry, and it’s made from yew and maple.

He also toured the crew to his laboratory where he creates perfume from essential oils. Ezio’s pantry holds homemade tinctures and his food supplies.

We couldn’t miss the extravagant masonry stove with its beautiful dragon. This is the one responsible for heating the entire home.

Living off the land

According to Ezio, each year 3-5 trees fall down. He chops them and uses them for firewood.

The house has a reference room that Ezio uses as a library. There is also what he calls the sunroom where you will see the truth window.

For all those who are not familiar with the truth window, it’s one of the unique features of the home, as it shows how they built the walls.

You will see the bare materials used, like light clay, wood, hay, and chips.

Eagleyew’s floors are all cob with dry linseed oil and wax.

Ezio also has a tool shop where he does his carpentry work. While in the attic, you’ll fall in love with his big library and meditation room.

There, you will see healing jewels, drums, and his collection of spheres.

“It’s designed for me. It’s designed for the things that I like and the things that I like to do. I’m very happy with it,” with these words, Ezio ended his amazing home tour.
