  • Fabric – old socks (stockings and a colorful one for the toy’s garment)
  • Threads – You’ll need threads that will match your socks
  • Hand-sewing needles
  • Polyfill or any stuffing you like
  • Scissors

Let’s get started:

Get one clean, old or unused stocking.

Then put some stuffing and compress it by twisting it. This one should be tight.

Once you have created a ball, secure it with stitches.

Repeat and make two balls. These will become the stuffed toy’s arms.

Once done, set them aside.

Do this again, but this time, create a tiny circle. This will be our nose.

Set it aside once you are done.

Get your stocking, it should be like a long tube.

Measure 4cm from the top, then gather the edges of the stockings and secure them with stitches.

Fill the stocking with stuffing.

We want this to be filled and fluffy, so add more, if needed.

Stitch the bottom part of the stocking to close.

Measure at around 3/4 to the bottom, and using your yarn, tie tightly until you have the body of the stuffed toy.

Tie the yarn and pull it down and back up.

This will create the illusion that the stuffed toy has legs.

Secure with stitches and knots.

From the back, insert your needle and let it come out on the middle part of the face.

Then get the nose and secure using stitches at the back of the head.

You’ll notice that you only have one place where you secure your stitches.

This avoids seeing those extra threads.

Get your plastic eyes and do the same process.

Always secure your stitches at the back.

Using black yarn, you can create eyelashes, eyebrows, and a mouth.

Looking adorable, right?

Adding the coat:

Now get another sock, preferably a colorful one.

We’ll use this as the stuffed toy’s winter coat. You can choose what type of socks you want to use.

Cut according to the length needed and let your stuffed toy wear it.

Fix and secure until you’re satisfied.

For this stuffed toy, it looks like she’s wearing a fluffy coat.

You will notice the excess stocking that looks like hair. That’s exactly what it is.

Cut it until it looks like adorable bangs.

Now, it’s time to add the arms. Secure with stitches.

Accessorize and that’s it.

Adorable right?
