Downsizing your living environment can be very challenging, especially if you’re used to living in a big house. Most people go for a tiny house to reduce their carbon footprint and live off the grid. Some simply want to downsize, while others want a mobile home they can take wherever they go.

Building it is another story – and a difficult one at that.

It requires proper planning to execute wise use of space. It’s better to look for foldable, portable, and multifunctional home furniture and storage inside the home to feel like you are not deprived of the luxury of a big house.

Luckily, Amazon sells these tiny homes.

Yes, you heard that right! They are selling tiny homes that you can assemble. It’s crazy, isn’t it? Who would have thought homes could be bought off the internet, have it shipped to you, and you can build one yourself from an instruction guide!

Kristina Smallhorn, aka Your Real Estate Whisperer, featured five tiny homes manufactured by Amazon.

The first one is like a cabin. But it doesn’t have anything there at all. It has no bathroom, no insulation, probably no plumbing and electricity. It’s only 113 square feet, and while it has a beautiful natural wood finish, it’s something that doesn’t look too livable.

The next one is a much bigger tiny home with a more modern look.

It has a total floor area of 227 square feet with an inside floor area of 193 sqft. It has top-to-bottom large windows that allow natural light to come in. Unfortunately, Kristina didn’t show the floor plan of the tiny house, so you’ll never know if it has other rooms in it if you’ll base it solely on her video.

The third house she showed was much homier than the previous two.

It has four rooms and two of which are bedrooms which can fit a double size bed. It has a bathroom, kitchen, and dining area. But one thing that stood out for this manufactured tiny home is that it has a front porch where you can place a lovely coffee table and some plants to add beauty to your place.

Fourth is a 540-square-foot tiny house with a loft.

It has ample space to house more guests with two bedrooms with 120 sqft and a 218-square-foot loft where you can place two double mattresses. The house is great for bigger families or those who want to rent it out as Airbnb for bigger groups.

The last house is a bit smaller than the previous one, but it has a lot of advantages.

For one, it is the only house that mentioned snow load and wind load capacity – something that you want to know if you’re living in a city where it often snows or has strong winds. It also offers to add factory protection of the walls against termites. Among all the houses, this one speaks of safety more than the rest.

These are just a few tiny, manufactured homes you can buy on Amazon for under $40,000.
